The Container
From April through August 2007, Nimble Fish produced two runs of THE CONTAINER, a new play by Clare Bayley focusing on the harrowing journey of five refugees travelling to the UK inside a freight container.
Inspired by true events, the play was first performed inside the Billboard laboratory (NB: hotlink ‘Billboard’ to that section of Nimble Fish website) to audiences of 13 to 16-year-olds in Essex. In its second run, Nimble Fish took THE CONTAINER to the 2007 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The production took home the acclaimed Scotsman Fringe First and the singular Amnesty International Freedom of Expression Award.

With the Brighton sound collective Daddy, Nimble Fish is in pre-production for TUNAURAL, which will turn the 407-metre Colonnades at the Brighton Boardwalk into a sonic landscape through which the music and sounds of Brighton—past, present and future—will merge and flow. The project is slated for the 2008 Brighton Festival and will be a landmark sound installation involving musicians, DJs, and a broad cross-section of the Brighton community, from primary schoolchildren to pensioners.
